Car Snatching Gang, Gurgaon. Oil Leak excuse
A copy of the complaint written to the Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon, through www.gurgaonpolice.net
Dear Sir,
I would like to make you aware of a car snatching gang which is in operation, and I just about managed to escape today morning. Here are the details and the modus operandi.
1. I was waiting before the Indian Oil petrol pump opposite Neelkanth Hospital (MG Road, DLF 3).
2. A had casually noticed a few people had got down from a light brown maruti van just before the petrol pump
3. After about 5 minutes one of those men came to my car and told me that the oil was leaking from my car. I had rolled down the window a bit to hear what he was saying, but chose to ignore him and remained in my car
4. Almost immediately, 2 other men walked past my car, went back a little, and came back to the front. They had obviously expected me to come out of the car, and they would have robbed me then.
5. One of them was wearing a bright green tshirt, and another a brown shirt. these 2 had round faces and slightly long and unruffled hair. Both looked like brothers. The 3rd person was thin and younger.
6. Later, when i got down to actually look if there was a oil spill, i noticed that above the number plate, there was oil all across. My gut feel is that the guy who initially told me the oil is leaking, had a small jar through which he had flung some oil on my car, to make his story real.
I earnestly urge you to put these guys behind bars. They may possibly come again tomorrow at around 9-9.15 AM to the same area as today, and you can setup through plainclothesmen so the gang can be nabbed.
Thanks,
Puneet Goyal
Frankly, I do not expect any action or a response. I shall be pleasantly surprised if i do see any action!
