The Left Front’s economic policies may continue to haunt the UPA government as the Trinamool Congress, largest ally of the Congress, is opposed to divestment of public sector insurance companies, strategic sale of profitable PSUs and entry of big capital in the retail sector.

Whom to vote for? Whom have you voted for? Why did fewer people vote in 2009 as compared to 2004? Why have all the various campaigns: lead india, jaagore, CEC campaigns like pappu and rab ne bana di jodi, jai ho, public service ads by the incumbent government coaxing people to vote and so on….have not resulted in any meaningful impact in these elections. I’ll probably attribute the decline to the following factors:
